Senior Product Manager

Overview

The Senior Product Manager at Drobo is the expert for all of the company’s products (Drobo and Transporter) and is the primary product driver and resource for the rest of the company. You will be a working manager that participates in planning meetings, research, and the development of product requirement documents (PRDs). A successful candidate will develop and leverage strong relationships with key stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and insure the delivery of great products that delight our users. This role will require the person to work jointly with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day product management tasks such as prioritizing bug fixes, identifying and defining new product features and enhancements; clarifying the product requirements and customer need; and scheduling product updates
• PRD creation and management
• Ownership of the company’s products from first customer ship to end of life
• Internal product training (Support, Sales, and others as required)
• Weekly departmental updates

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Management (or related) experience
• Undergraduate degree (technical degree highly preferred)
• Ability to understand complicated technical systems
• Proven track record implementing product management processes
• Experience with hardware and software product development
• Highly adept at working in small organizations
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional working teams
• Excellent written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and requirements
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
• MBA preferred
