WW Sales Operations Manager

Job Description

The WW Sales Operations Manager at Drobo is the hub of the sales organization. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the Drobo Sales organization’s operations and process improvements to ensure profitable revenue growth. In addition, you will support and work with company executives, directors, management, sales representatives and employees across the entire organization. This senior level manager reports directly to the Vice President of WW Sales & Marketing.

Essential Job Functions

Sales reporting and forecasting:
  • Deliver timely, accurate and actionable business information to all director’s/management and sales reps on weekly/monthly basis
  • Interface with sales and sales management on forecasting process. Be the single point of contact for reporting on forecasts
  • Track, analyze and report sales results: both sell-in and sell-thru
  • Weekly report of shipments, POS, and inventory;
  • Prepare weekly inventory reports for Regional sales managers, comparing balances, week-to-week changes and weeks inventory-on-hand (based on POS sales)
Quota and commissions
  • Own quarterly quota process
  • Work with Sales Management to allocate quotas by Region and Segment
  • Aid in design of Sales Compensation policy and plans
  • Create, distribute, and collect quota letters
  • Calculate commissions based on comp plans and submit to Payroll
  • Distribute Commission Statements to plan participants
Order management
  • Resolution of OM issues
  • First point of contact for shipping issues
  • Handle expedite requests from field sales/customer;
  • Prioritize shipments when items on allocation or limited availability;
  • Handle all requests from field sales/customers regarding inventory availability, and lead times;
Price list
  • Coordinate price list with Product Management
  • Create price books (Disti and MSRP) for EMEA, APAC, Latin America, Australia, Japan and US
  • Distribute price lists

  • Demonstrated skill in business planning
  • Proficient in math and sales analytics
  • Ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports for all levels of staff

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree desirable.
  • 3-5 years experience in high tech ideal
  • Successful track record of working with upper management
  • Experience leading change
  • Experience working with Finance systems a plus
  • Advanced Excel including pivot table expertise a must
