Pre-Migration Checklist

Please review the condition of the Drobo you are migrating from.

  • Is the Drobo operating normally?
  • Are all the Drive Lights Green?
  • Is the data acessisble on the Drobo?
  • Have you upgraded to the lastest firmware?

    If the Drobo is in an unhealthy state you will encounter the same problems on the new Drobo. It is crucial the Drobo be in an all green state. First resolve the issue on the original unit, some knowledge base articles that may be helpful:

  • Are you seeing Too Many Hard Drives Removed? Click Here
  • Is the Drobo constantly power cycling or rebooting? Click Here
  • Is the Drobo is not mounting on the computer? Click Here

  • To verify you have the latest firmware, open the Drobo Dasboard, click on your Drobo, from the menu on the left hand side click on Tools, then click Check for Updates. You will either be prompted to update, or you will receive a confirmation that you are running the latest version of Drobo firmware.
