DroboCare

Drobo’s are built with the highest quality and designed to be one of world's simplest storage boxes, but with any kind of technology things sometimes do not work as they should. If this should ever happen Drobo’s got you covered.

Standard DroboCare (2 years)

All Drobos come with 2-year Standard DroboCare warranty and the first 90 days include Advanced Support. The Standard DroboCare warranty covers email support and if needed Standard Hardware Replacement.

Premium DroboCare (5 years)

Simply add Premium DroboCare to your Standard DroboCare warranty (within the first 2 years) and relax in the knowledge that you will have uninterrupted coverage from your date of purchase.

DroboCare can be purchased as 3 or 5 year plans (That take effect from the date of purchase)

Note: DroboCare does not cover hard drive replacements.

How Does It Work?

If you purchase a 3 or 5 year Premium DroboCare warranty plan, it will upgrade your Standard DroboCare warranty to Advanced Support. (That takes effect from the date of purchase) Note: The 3-year DroboCare can be extended at 1-year increments thereafter up to 5 total years.

Migration Assistance

If you buy a new Drobo product, we will provide migration assistance from an older Drobo product while you are covered by the initial 90-day DroboCare warranty. Extended migration assistance is also provided to users that purchase a 3 or 5 year DroboCare support plan. When it comes to upgrading your Drobo, you have several options. Please use the Supported Disk Pack Migrations chart to see how you can upgrade from your existing Drobo.

Migration Kit

As a member of DroboCare, we will send you a Migration Kit if a problem occurs; allowing you to safely relocate your data, while we attempt to restore your Drobo. The Migration Kit consists of a Drobo loaded with HDD’s and cables for connectivity.

Out of Warranty

If the Drobo is out of warranty, we still have some options for you.
  1. Troubleshooting through knowledge base articles.
  2. Helpful quick videos on our Drobo YouTube Support page.
  3. Seeking the answers from other Drobo Owners in our Community Forums.
  4. You may be able to purchase DroboHelp, it allows you create a support ticket to have an agent diagnose the issue. For more information visit our FAQ on DroboHelp.
